The East African University Rwanda’s Students Support Centre delivered also a pilot training programme entitled “Disability and promotion of inclusion in higher learning institutions in Rwanda”. It took place on 10-11 October 2024 in Nyagatare.

The University of Rwanda's Students Support Centre has launched on 5-6 November a pilot training program to enhance inclusivity and address disability in higher education, as part of the ANSWER project’s institutional development efforts

Do not miss our First Pilot Training at INES-Ruhengeri: "Understanding Disabilities and Inclusion in Higher Education”! Thanks to this training, participants will gain a stronger sense of empathy and advocacy for students with disabilities.

Every year since 1992, on 03 December, Rwanda celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). In 2021, this event was supported by the UNFPA and the KOICA, and the campaign focused on promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Through the We Can Work program, Rwanda helps its young people with disabilities achieve their career goals. According to Alliance Ukwishaka, the We Can Work program is a “chance from heaven to gain skills, independence, and access to meaningful employment”.
